Moore-Yuille Scholarship

The Moore Yuille Scholarship Fund Inc was created out of an idea from the late Raymond Clement Banks Jr’s desire to help the next generation of his family advance in the area of academia. If there were two things for sure that anyone in the family knew about him is that he loved the Lord and that his family was dear to this heart.

Raymond was affectionately called ‘Chunk’ or ‘Chunky’ by many if not all in the family and if he didn’t see you for a while you can be sure you were going to at least get a phone call from him. He looked forward to any if not all family gatherings, especially family reunion time. He was so excited to see everyone, to catch up with those that he had not laid eyes on in a while, but especially to hear the melodious sounds of singing and fellowship that were commonplace with each reunion.

In keeping with my father’s desire, I, Shawna Banks, am committed to help the next generation advance in their dreams of academic advancement. To that end, The Moore-Yuille Scholarship Fund Inc has partnered with Yuille Historical 501c3 to present the inaugural Scholarship Program at the Yuille Family Reunion 2025.
